At thirteen, Mohammed came to us bearing bruises—both seen and unseen. What began as a visit to our clinic became a new beginning. Through the steady rhythm of carpentry, a safe space to grow, and the quiet power of love in action, Mohammed found healing. He found purpose. And now as a young adult, he’s shaping futures—just like his own was shaped—offering hope to boys who need it most.
Kesh was just four when he was found bleeding and abandoned on a hospital floor. Doctors feared cancer—but it was only two leeches. Once healed, he joined our children’s home, where abandoned children like him find safety, family, and a future. Kesh grew into a compassionate young man, and at 18, he returned to his remote Himalayan village—only to discover he was the rightful heir to his family’s land.

In the places we serve, girls were once destined to marry by 13. But everything changes when a girl gets an education. When she learns a skill. When she’s told she matters. In our programs, the average age of marriage has risen to 18—not because culture changed, but because confidence did. These girls are no longer seen as burdens, but as students, leaders, and dreamers with futures worth fighting for.

In 2014, as waves of refugees fled violence, exhausted and stripped of hope, our founder Melissa Mitchell launched WalkWithMe.global—not as a charity, but as a promise. A promise to feed the hungry, heal the wounded, teach the forgotten, and stand with the displaced. Today, we walk shoulder to shoulder with trusted local partners to reach those the world overlooks-offering not just aid, but dignity. From medical care and trauma counseling to education and emergency response, we show up-because no one should have to face crisis alone.
